71-year-old Putin Dreams of 'Immortality'... Orders Research on Anti-Aging Secrets

Putin Ally Leads "Order for Report on Aging Solutions"

Russian President Vladimir Putin has reportedly instructed scientists to develop a secret to prevent aging, according to foreign media reports.

On the 3rd (local time), the British daily The Times reported that Russian health authorities ordered their affiliated research institutions to quickly report solutions to various aging-related symptoms, including cognitive and sensory organ disorders, cellular aging, osteoporosis, and immune decline, Yonhap News reported on the same day.

It is rumored that this directive originated from physicist Mikhail Kovalchuk, who is considered a close aide to President Putin. Although he is the head of the Kurchatov Institute, a nuclear energy research facility, he is obsessed with the idea of "living forever without dying" and reportedly proposed the idea of developing the secret to immortality to President Putin.

Kovalchuk is also known for his involvement in conspiracy theories. Previously, he submitted a report to the Russian Federation Council claiming that the United States is creating a new human species genetically different from humans, and he also asserted that Western countries are developing biological weapons that specifically target Russians.

Among the Russian scientists who received the directive to research anti-aging methods, there have been considerable complaints that unnecessary orders were issued amid the ongoing Ukraine war. One scientist criticized President Putin and his close aides, saying, "No one can stop those fools."

Meanwhile, President Putin will turn 72 this coming October. Despite his age, he has frequently displayed his health and masculinity. He has been seen fishing shirtless, riding horses to show off his muscular physique, and publicly participating in the annual Russian Orthodox Church ritual of plunging into icy water to demonstrate his vigor.

However, over the past several years, rumors about his health issues have continuously surfaced both inside and outside Russia. There have been rumors that he suffers from Parkinson's disease or cancer, and claims that he was found in a state of cardiac arrest and underwent cardiopulmonary resuscitation have also been raised. Additionally, there have been rumors that he engages in superstitious behaviors to maintain vitality and youth, such as bathing in blood components extracted from the antlers of Siberian deer. The Kremlin has consistently denied all rumors regarding President Putin's health problems.
