29 Hospitals and Clinics, 79 Pharmacies Operating from September 14 to 18
Health Center Medical Teams Operating for 3 Days on September 14 and 16-17
Gwangjin-gu (District Mayor Kim Kyung-ho) will operate an emergency medical system from September 14 to 18 to prepare for emergency patients during the Chuseok holiday period.
Hospitals, clinics, and pharmacies that remain open during the holiday are designated to minimize medical service gaps. Konkuk University Hospital and Hyemin Hospital are designated as emergency medical institutions, maintaining a 24-hour emergency medical system. Twenty-six hospitals and clinics and seventy-nine pharmacies in the area have been assigned duty days and will operate according to the schedule to provide convenience to residents.
The main medical institutions available for treatment during the Chuseok holiday are 24 Hours Open Clinic and 365 Rheumatology Internal Medicine Clinic (where COVID-19 treatment prescriptions are available). Medical institutions capable of COVID-19 related testing and prescriptions are posted on the Gwangjin-gu Public Health Center website.
A medical team is established at the public health center to support the treatment system. A team of three professionals, including doctors and nurses, will operate the public health center clinic from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on September 14 and 16?17. They will provide treatment mainly for chronic diseases such as hypertension, diabetes, and dyslipidemia, but will not conduct COVID-19 related testing or prescriptions.
Additionally, an emergency medical situation room will be set up throughout the Chuseok holiday period to perform roles such as ▲guidance on emergency medical institutions and holiday duty pharmacies ▲operation and response of disaster safety communication networks ▲emergency contact in case of urgent situations. To prepare for multiple casualties, an emergency medical team at the public health center will also be organized to thoroughly support emergency medical care.
The status of emergency medical institutions can be checked on the Emergency Medical Portal, and for further details, inquiries can be made to the Gwangjin-gu Public Health Center Civil Service Office.
Kim Kyung-ho, Mayor of Gwangjin-gu, said, “We have established an emergency medical system to ensure that residents using medical institutions and pharmacies during the holiday do not experience inconvenience,” and added, “We hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable Hangawi with family and relatives.”
