New 'Parental Premium Leave' System Established
Applicable to All Members at Seoul Office and Anseong Plant
Caregivers Also Eligible for 1-Month Leave Usage
Nongshim Kellogg announced on the 4th that it has newly introduced a parental premium leave system, providing up to 6 months of paid maternity leave to all employees, including contract workers at the Seoul office and Anseong factory, regardless of their length of service.
This aims to encourage employees to raise children while working without career interruption and to support maintaining a balance between family and work life.
It is notable that not only primary caregivers but also secondary caregivers can use one month of paid maternity leave. The company explained that this reflects its commitment to attracting diverse talented individuals and creating an environment where employees can grow with the company in the long term.
Ritika Lal, HR Director at Nongshim Kellogg, said, "To proactively respond to the low birthrate era, we have introduced a 6-month paid maternity leave system for all employees," adding, "We plan to actively support not only the system but also the cultural aspects so that employees can achieve a good balance between work and family."
Nongshim Kellogg already operates a system allowing employees to leave one hour early every Friday to maintain a balanced life between family and work, as well as a 'Total Health Day' on designated Fridays each month, where employees can leave at 1 p.m. In addition, earlier this year, the company introduced 'Total Health Flex,' which offers various benefits such as trips and hobby activities with family using welfare points.
