Silla University (President: Heo Namsik) LINC 3.0 Project Group received two awards at the '2024 Southeast Region LINC 3.0 Global Startup Nomad Camp & Idea Competition'.
The competition was held in Taipei, Taiwan, from August 28 to 31.
Hosted by the Southeast Region LINC 3.0 Project Group Council with the aim of fostering aspiring entrepreneurs and discovering global expansion items, the event consisted of two categories: 'Startup Nomad Camp' and 'Idea Competition', evaluating outstanding startup items and their potential for entry into the global market.
The 'Comsamo' team from Silla University's Department of Computer Engineering, comprised of Kwon Taegyun, Kim Juwan, Kim Jiseon, and Jung Jaehun (supervising professor: Kim Jiyeon), won the grand prize for inventing 'Raenpokgi', a machine that combines beverage blending inspired by Korea's 'Poktanju' culture with gaming elements. The 'Raenpokgi' item was highly praised for being developed into a high-quality prototype through continuous development and refinement.
The 'Hot8TheKing' team from the Department of Fire Safety?Lee Jaeho, Kang Hyunseok, Ko Dohyun, Kim Geonyeong, Kim Donghyeon, Lee Seungwoo, Jang Jongmin, and Choi Seokyeong (supervising professor: Jeon Giwan)?received the excellence award for presenting an idea for an 'organic-inorganic hybrid flame retardant' that considers eco-friendliness and economic feasibility.
Kwon Taegyun from the Silla University Comsamo team said, "It was a valuable experience to share ideas about startup items with students from other universities in the Southeast region who also had excellent ideas," and added, "We are proud that our item, which has been advanced with support from the LINC 3.0 Project Group through startup clubs and capstone design, has received recognition."
Lee Beomjin, head of the Silla University LINC 3.0 Project Group, stated, "I believe our students have achieved a meaningful conclusion by delivering excellent results at the Startup Nomad Camp and Idea Competition, which have continued since the LINC+ project," and added, "We will continue to support students throughout the remaining project period so that many can achieve outstanding results."
The LINC 3.0 Project Group at Silla University has won the grand prize and excellence award at the Southeast Region Global Startup Nomad Camp and Idea Competition.
