On the afternoon of the 2nd, Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, warmly welcomed the delegation from Kaohsiung City, Taiwan, at the policy meeting room of Mapo District Office.
The delegation from Kaohsiung City consisted of a total of eight members, including officials from the Kaohsiung City Tourism Bureau and the Vice Chairman of the Tourism Association. They visited Mapo District to survey major tourist attractions such as Hongdae Red Road and to discuss cooperation plans for the tourism industry between Mapo District and Kaohsiung City.
On this day, Mayor Park Gang-su and the delegation took time to explain and discuss the current status of the tourism industry in Mapo District and Kaohsiung City.
Mayor Park Gang-su of Mapo District said, “Just as Kaohsiung has the Pier-2 Art Center, Mapo District has developed a tourism-specialized street around Hongdae Red Road, which has received great response from residents and visitors alike. I hope you have a meaningful time at Mapo’s representative tourist spots such as Hongdae Red Road, and I look forward to this visit serving as an opportunity for Kaohsiung City and Mapo District to develop a more friendly relationship in the field of tourism and culture.”
