2686 Students Selected in Early Admission
80 Students to Be Admitted to Medical Science Through Early Admission
Inha University will select 2,686 students in the 2025 academic year early admission. The Department of Pre-Medicine, which has expanded its quota due to an increase in medical school admissions, will select 80 students through early admission.
Inha University will select 1,020 students through the Inha Future Talent track, a comprehensive student record screening process. The first stage is a 100% comprehensive document evaluation, and the second stage reflects 70% document evaluation and 30% interview evaluation. There is no minimum CSAT (College Scholastic Ability Test) score requirement.
The Regional Balance track, which is based on student record grades, will recruit a total of 648 students. Applicants must be recommended by the principal of their affiliated (graduated) school, and there is no limit on the number of students per school. The evaluation is based 100% on student record grades, with a minimum CSAT score requirement applied. The mandatory subject restrictions in the minimum CSAT score requirements for all recruitment units have been abolished. Students who took Probability and Statistics or Social Studies can also apply to natural science departments, including the Department of Pre-Medicine.
The Essay Excellence track, which selects 458 students, reflects 70% essay scores and 30% student record grades. The conversion score differences between student record grade levels have been reduced to strengthen the actual influence of the essay. The math essay for the Department of Pre-Medicine consists of three questions: one common question for natural sciences and two separate questions specific to the Department of Pre-Medicine.
Inha University has taken steps to broaden recruitment units to nurture future-oriented talents by breaking down departmental barriers this year and selecting talents in convergence and advanced fields. First, to foster convergence talents, the university introduced a major autonomy selection system that strengthens students' freedom to choose their majors. The Frontier Creative College, centered on convergence departments, was newly established, along with the Division of Liberal Studies and five convergence departments within colleges. The Division of Liberal Studies and Convergence, which selects 20 students through student record grades, allows students to choose majors without distinction between humanities and natural sciences after a certain period, except for some departments. Convergence departments within each college guarantee major selection up to 150% of the department quota.
New recruitment units reflecting the demand of advanced industries due to changes in the industrial environment have also been established. The newly created Department of Secondary Battery Convergence and Department of Advanced Bio-Pharmaceutical Sciences will select 24 and 11 students respectively through early admission.
The health and medical fields, including the medical school, will admit more freshmen than the previous year. The Department of Pre-Medicine, whose admission quota has expanded from 49 to 120 students, will select 42 students through the Inha Future Talent track, 26 through the Regional Balance track, and 12 through the Essay track. The College of Nursing, which was promoted from a department to a college, increased its admission quota from 84 to 108 students.
