A cooling fog evaporative cooling system to beat the summer heat has been installed at Anseong Jungang Market, a representative traditional market in Anseong-si, Gyeonggi-do.

On the 2nd, Anseong City announced that it held a completion ceremony for the installation project of the evaporative cooling system at Anseong Jungang Market in Seoin-dong on the 30th of last month.
This cooling fog installation was carried out after being selected in March for Gyeonggi-do's traditional market facility environment improvement project contest. This system operates spray fans installed at regular intervals within the market to create a consistent airflow that suppresses relative humidity, lowering the indoor temperature by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius and improving indoor air quality. The system is equipped with LED lighting to provide a visual effect as well.
Kim Bora, mayor of Anseong City, said, "I hope this system installation will attract more visitors to the market," adding, "We will continue to strive to revitalize the traditional market by linking not only environmental improvement projects but also food, sights, and entertainment."
