Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Park Seong-hyun, YGPA) announced on the 2nd that it successfully held the '2024 Gwangyang Bay Area Win-Win Communication Festival' on the 31st of last month at the YGPA headquarters lawn plaza.
This festival was planned as an event to fulfill social responsibility through win-win communication with the local community and to promote Yeosu Gwangyang Port to the public, as the only public institution headquartered in the eastern region of Jeollanam-do.

YGPA provided students with various career exploration opportunities by combining experiential events such as boarding a naval warship and exhibitions of army and air force equipment in the festival program.
Additionally, a variety of programs were prepared for local residents and port workers' families to heal at the end of the unusually hot summer of 2024, including performances by local cultural artists, a naval military band performance, a popular singer's invited performance, and a world record challenge by the authority's promotional ambassador, Barefoot Man Jo Seung-hwan, receiving great responses from the audience.
Park Seong-hyun, President of YGPA, said, “As this was the first festival held at the authority’s headquarters, all employees shared both anticipation and concerns during the preparation,” and added, “We will continue to do our best for the development of Yeosu Gwangyang Port and the revitalization of local culture and arts.”
