Uri Asset Management's 'US Public Offering Stock Fund' Surpasses 30 Billion KRW in Assets Under Management in One Month

Despite the slump in the public fund market, Woori Asset Management's US public offering fund is rapidly growing in size.

On the 2nd, Woori Asset Management announced that the "Woori Really Easy US Public Offering (hereinafter US Public Offering)" fund surpassed 30 billion KRW in assets under management just one month after its launch.

Launched on the 1st of last month, the US Public Offering fund is the first domestic product to invest in the US initial public offering (IPO) market, aiming to achieve excess returns compared to US short-term bonds.

This fund is managed through a collaboration between Woori Asset Management and Nuveen, a US asset management company. Nuveen, which manages approximately 640 trillion KRW in assets, directly participates in public offering subscriptions, providing an advantage in the allocation of public offering shares.

Additionally, the fund is designed to invest not only in the US but also in global public offerings. Among these, Korean public offerings are directly invested in by Woori Asset Management, which also manages liquidity to facilitate smooth public offering investments.

Jang Junho, Head of the Pension WM Division at Woori Asset Management, said, "The product structure that can capture two birds with one stone?US public offerings and short-term bonds?is receiving positive responses from investors," adding, "Starting in September, as the number of distributors expands, more investors will be able to access the US Public Offering fund."

The fund is currently available through Woori Investment & Securities, Woori Bank, KB Kookmin Bank, and Yuanta Securities. From this month, the number of distributors will be further expanded to enhance convenience for investors to subscribe.
