Large-scale projects promoted by Sancheong County, Gyeongnam are showing results, as they have been included in the government budget proposal for next year.
According to Sancheong County on the 2nd, major new projects such as the sewerage project were included in the 2025 government budget proposal, which was finalized after a Cabinet meeting on the 27th of last month.
The main projects reflected in this government budget proposal are: ▲ Expansion of rural village sewerage system in Sijang District ▲ Expansion of rural village sewerage system in Ipseok District ▲ Improvement project for disaster-prone areas in Oksan District ▲ Improvement project for public livestock manure treatment facility in Naeri, among others.

Sancheong County expects that the completion of the Sijang District rural village sewerage expansion project (18.2 billion KRW) and the Ipseok District rural village sewerage expansion project (27.6 billion KRW) will contribute to improving the residential environment for residents and enhancing river water quality.
The Oksan District disaster-prone area improvement project (3 billion KRW) will protect the lives and property of residents in the Oksan-ri area of Sancheong-eup, which is at risk of disasters due to heavy rainfall, by constructing embankments and raising roads.
The Naeri public livestock manure treatment facility improvement project (2.1 billion KRW) will address issues identified through technical diagnosis and improve outdated facilities. The inclusion in the 2025 government budget proposal is seen as a result of Sancheong County's efforts to secure national funds from the beginning of the year.
Sancheong County has focused on securing national funds by identifying new projects and monitoring their progress to align with the central government's budget planning stages.
County Governor Lee Seunghwa said, "Although it is difficult to secure national funds due to the government's sound fiscal policy, we will continue our efforts until the bill passes the National Assembly. For projects not included or those requiring additional funding, we will work closely with the local National Assembly members to ensure they are reflected during the parliamentary review stage."
Meanwhile, once the finalized 2025 government budget proposal is submitted to the National Assembly, it is scheduled to be reviewed by the standing committee starting at the end of October.
