Quotation from the drama 'Amudo Eomneun Supsokeseo' dialogue
Moon Jae-in, the former president's daughter Dahye, who was recently subjected to a search and seizure at her residence amid an investigation into her ex-husband Seo's alleged preferential hiring at Thai Starjet, posted the phrase "a frog hit by a stone thrown carelessly" on her social media platform X.
On the 1st, Dahye wrote on social networking service X, "A big tree fell in a forest where no one was around. Did it make a thudding sound or not?" This is a line from the Netflix drama Alone in the Forest. The English title of this drama is The Frog, and this line is used as the opening in every episode. It criticizes the social atmosphere of indifference to victims' appeals.
Dahye also quoted another line: "If you become that frog, your head spins, your body weakens, and your breath grows thin, yet you keep repeating 'Who threw that stone?' and 'Why was it me who got hit?'" She also posted a photo of a glass window shattered by a thrown stone.
Earlier, the Criminal Division 3 of Jeonju District Prosecutors' Office (Chief Prosecutor Han Yeon-gyu) conducted a forced investigation on the 30th of last month at Dahye's residence in Seoul and her villa in Jeju Island. It is known that the warrant named former President Moon as a suspect. The prosecution believes that more than 200 million won in salary and other payments Seo received while working as an executive at Thai Starjet were bribes to former President Moon. Through this search and seizure, it is reported that the prosecution is trying to determine the amount of illicit financial support provided by former President Moon and his wife to their daughter Dahye's family.
Seo, who was Dahye's husband, became embroiled in controversy after being hired as an executive director at Thai Starjet, a Thai low-cost airline established by former lawmaker Lee Sang-jik, who became the chairman of the Small and Medium Business Corporation in 2018. Although Seo had previously worked at a gaming company, he had no practical experience in the airline industry, raising concerns both inside and outside about the hiring of an executive at an airline with poor initial performance.
