100% Recyclable and Biodegradable Natural Raw Pulp Wine Packaging
Reduces Packaging Waste... Sleeve Customization Available
Shinsegae L&B is leading the eco-friendly consumption culture by introducing the 'Wine & More Eco-friendly Pulp Package,' the first 100% recyclable and biodegradable packaging in the domestic wine industry.
Shinsegae L&B, the number one wine importer in Korea, announced on the 29th that it will launch an eco-friendly package jointly developed with Moorim P&P, focusing on the excessive packaging waste issue.
The package is made from Korea's only natural raw pulp material, which completely decomposes within six months in regular soil. Notably, it has obtained the highest grade of biodegradability certification, 'OK compost HOME,' from the European certification body TUV Austria. It is the only pulp mold in Korea certified with the Food Safety System Certification (FSSC 22000), ensuring it is safer and more hygienic, while also offering excellent durability and strength.
The sophisticated design also stands out. The wine bottle-shaped design and the natural, matte texture unique to pulp create a luxurious atmosphere. In particular, the package sleeve (paper band) can be customized with simple messages, logos, or images according to customer preferences, making it perfect for group gifts or personalized gifts for special occasions. The wines included in the package come in a variety of recommended lineups across different price ranges, broadening customer choices, and customers purchasing the package can enjoy discounts of up to 20%.
The Wine & More Eco-friendly Pulp Package is available at Wine & More stores nationwide and at stores handling Shinsegae L&B’s official imported wines.
A Shinsegae L&B representative said, "We developed and introduced eco-friendly packaging to prevent waste from indiscriminately used wine packages and to save resources and promote a sustainable environment." They added, "As the number one wine importer in Korea, we will continue to lead the eco-friendly consumption culture through various activities."
