Pohang City Offers Free Car Inspection Service for Chuseok

Pohang City will offer a free car inspection service on September 5 to help citizens travel safely and comfortably for the upcoming Chuseok holiday.

The service will take place from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the parking lot behind Pohang Baseball Stadium. On-site registration is available for passenger cars, vans, and other small vehicles, and participants must bring their vehicle registration certificate.

Main inspection items include checking tire air pressure, engine braking system, headlights and brake lights, as well as verifying the appropriate levels of engine oil, power steering oil, and other fluids, and refilling washer fluid as needed.

Corporate vehicles, commercial vehicles, electric vehicles, and trucks are excluded from the inspection, and some imported vehicles may not be eligible for inspection or replacement. Additionally, window brush replacement is not included in this event.

This event is organized by the Pohang branch of the Gyeongbuk Automobile Maintenance Business Association (branch head Kim Byeongguk) and the Pohang Automobile Inspection and Maintenance Association (president Lee Taehyung), with about 70 certified maintenance technicians volunteering their services.
