Soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo (39, Al Nassr) made YouTube history by surpassing 50 million subscribers just one week after launching his YouTube channel 'UR·Cristiano'. Foreign media speculated that he might have already earned over 130 billion won within three days of opening the channel.

As of the morning of the 31st (KST), Ronaldo's YouTube channel has 53.6 million subscribers. This remarkable achievement was made with just 17 videos. He launched the channel on the 21st and uploaded about 10 videos at once, featuring his interviews and football career. Football fans went wild. He reached 1 million subscribers, which corresponds to the YouTube Gold Button, in just 1 hour and 29 minutes?the fastest speed in YouTube history. Achieving 10 million subscribers, corresponding to the Diamond Button, took less than 12 hours. This is also the shortest time ever recorded. With this, Ronaldo earned the Silver Button (100,000 subscribers), Gold Button, and Diamond Button all within 12 hours. Since Ronaldo has about 900 million followers across X, Facebook, and Instagram, it is expected that his YouTube subscribers will soon exceed 100 million.

The earnings are also impressive. Spanish media outlet Marca stated, "You can earn between $1,200 (about 1.6 million won) and $6,000,000 (about 8 million won) per 1 million views," and estimated that "Ronaldo has already made six figures ($100 million, about 133.5 billion won) within 72 hours of launching the channel."
