The First Project at Hosugyo Gallery, Artist of 'Running People'
Meeting with District Mayor Seogangseok on August 30
Exhibition Extended Until October Amid Residents' Positive Response
Songpa-gu (District Mayor Seo Gang-seok) is promoting a public art project by creating the ‘Lake Bridge Gallery (Hosugyo Gallery)’ along the Seokchon Lake walking trail, allowing residents to enjoy high-quality cultural and artistic works in their daily lives.
As the first project, Songpa-gu signed a business agreement with MUSEUM 209 and held a special exhibition of the ‘Running People’ series by Federica Del Proposto, an Italian illustrator who held her first solo exhibition in Asia. The exhibition has received great responses not only from residents enjoying walks and exercise at Seokchon Lake but also from tourists.
On August 30, Federica, who is loved worldwide, visited Songpa-gu. Seo Gang-seok, Mayor of Songpa-gu, warmly welcomed the artist, congratulated her on the first solo exhibition held in Asia, and expressed gratitude for the special exhibition provided to the Lake Bridge Gallery.
He then introduced various cultural and artistic projects being carried out by the district and shared opinions on ways to revitalize them.
Additionally, it was agreed to extend the exhibition period of the ‘Running People’ special exhibition, which was originally scheduled to run until August, until October, offering visitors to Seokchon Lake in the autumn another attraction and photo zone.
Seo Gang-seok, Mayor of Songpa-gu, stated, “This meeting with Federica has further advanced Songpa as a global cultural and artistic city,” and added, “We will continue to provide richer and more diverse content at the Lake Bridge Gallery so that visitors to Seokchon Lake can enjoy high-quality culture and arts in their daily lives.”
