Convenience Store Employee Reports CCTV Footage
A scene where a woman who visited a convenience store wiped her body with tissue but did not throw it into the trash can and instead left it on the table was fully captured on closed-circuit television (CCTV), sparking controversy.
On the 28th, JTBC's 'Sageon Banjang' aired CCTV footage submitted from a convenience store in Gwangju Metropolitan City. The video shows a woman entering the convenience store and pulling out tissue from the tissue box placed on the table inside the store.
Then, she wipes both sides of her nose with the tissue, crumples it, and throws it not into the trash can but onto the table. Not stopping there, the woman takes out another tissue, wipes her chest area, and similarly crumples it and leaves it on the same table.
The person who submitted the video explained that they captured this scene through CCTV during their working hours at the convenience store and asked, "Am I being too sensitive for reporting this video?" They further explained that if the woman had just placed ordinary tissue on the table, it would not have been a big problem, but since she discarded 'waste' after wiping her body, they decided to report it.
Netizens who saw the video reacted with comments such as "What a strange thing," "This is the first time I've seen someone blatantly causing such a nuisance," and "At least she only wiped her upper body, so that's somewhat fortunate."
