She added, "Through this activity, I was able to communicate with children through books and share the joy and fulfillment of reading together."
Cha Seongjong, head of the Department of Library and Information Science at Silla University, stated, "With the growing interest in social value, exchanges and industry-academic cooperation between universities and local communities are becoming increasingly important." He continued, "We will continue to pursue innovative educational activities that enable students to realize their dreams by operating specialized, major-tailored curricula and serving as a hub for reading education culture in the Busan region through various collaborative efforts based on reading activities with the local community."
The Department of Library and Information Science at Silla University, with its 40-year history and tradition, has produced numerous librarians and librarian teachers for various libraries and institutions, including achieving the highest number of successful candidates in the elementary and secondary librarian teacher appointment exams in the Busan, Ulsan, and Gyeongnam regions for the 2021 academic year.
