Pyeongtaek City Engages in Corporate Investment Attraction at 'Next-Generation Semiconductor Packaging Industry Expo'

On the 30th, Pyeongtaek City in Gyeonggi Province announced that it participated in the '2024 Next-Generation Semiconductor Packaging Industry Exhibition' held at Suwon Convention Center for three days from the 28th to the 30th, engaging in activities to attract corporate investment.

This exhibition is a domestic semiconductor industry specialized exhibition hosted by Gyeonggi Province and Suwon City, and organized by Suwon Convention Center and JExpo. A total of 168 domestic semiconductor-related companies, including Samsung Electronics, participated.


At this event, the city operated a promotional booth to explain the advantages and incentives for investing in Pyeongtaek City, along with introducing the city's major projects such as semiconductors, hydrogen, and future automobiles. The city’s promotional booth introduced ▲incentive support according to the 'Ordinance to Promote Corporate Investment Attraction' ▲status and sales information of local industrial complexes such as Pyeongtaek Brain City General Industrial Complex ▲transportation and living environment including the Pyeongtaek Jije Station future-type complex transfer center.


The Pyeongtaek City Industrial Promotion Agency also participated in the city’s promotional booth to promote corporate support projects such as ▲R&D support projects for semiconductor-centered convergence industries ▲mass production performance evaluation support projects for materials, parts, and equipment.


Jung Jang-seon, Mayor of Pyeongtaek City, stated, "We will actively support corporate growth by establishing semiconductor workforce training and excellent research and product verification infrastructure through linkage with KAIST Pyeongtaek Campus and local universities."
