An Airplane 'Thuds' in Front of a Vehicle Driving on the Road
A small aircraft made an emergency landing on a road in China, narrowly avoiding a collision with passing vehicles in a harrowing incident.
According to Chinese Jimu News on the 28th (local time), the plane made an emergency landing on a road in Dalian City, Liaoning Province, China, at 11 a.m. that day. A witness at the scene said, "The plane landed almost right next to me, and it nearly collided with the car I was in."
Black box footage of the incident shows the aircraft landing in the middle of the road and crashing into the central divider. The plane's front windshield was shattered, and debris scattered around the road.
The aircraft is owned by Dalian City, China, and it was confirmed that the pilot was taking a licensing exam when an engine failure occurred, prompting the emergency landing attempt on the road.
Fortunately, there were no casualties. According to local police, both the pilot and the student on board walked away from the accident on their own.
The police stated, "The accident site has been cleared, and we are investigating the detailed circumstances, including the cause of the plane crash."
Local netizens who learned of the incident reacted with comments such as "It really almost collided," "What if it had hit the vehicle? I don't even want to imagine," "Glad no one was hurt," and "It's even scarier seeing it on video."
