Lotte Chemical announced on the 30th that it held the 4th Environmental Seminar for co-growth with partner companies and environmental coexistence cooperation. The environmental seminar, which has been held since 2022, serves as a platform for environmental policy education and information exchange targeting small and medium-sized partner companies.
On the afternoon of the 29th, Park In-cheol, Executive Director of ESG Management Division at Lotte Chemical, delivered a welcoming speech at the 4th Environmental Seminar held at Lotte World Tower in Jamsil. (Provided by Lotte Chemical)
This year's seminar was conducted with about 80 partner companies attending, focusing on diverse and in-depth topics aligned with the importance of ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management. It shared and discussed necessary responses from an ESG perspective, including the latest trends and cases in individual environmental laws, recent developments in the Chemical Substances Control Act, the EU Supply Chain Due Diligence Act, and supply chain cooperation for carbon neutrality, attracting significant interest from partner companies.
Park In-cheol, Executive Director of Lotte Chemical's ESG Management Division, said, "We consider it meaningful to hold an environmental seminar for co-growth with partner companies at a time when ESG management is becoming an essential element rather than a simple choice. We plan to support various programs with partner companies to fulfill the corporate social responsibility."
