On the 30th, Samsung Electronics announced that it will sequentially carry out new feature updates for kitchen appliances starting at the end of this month through its regular software update service, 'Smart Forward.' The new updates will target Bespoke AI Family Hub, Bespoke AI Dishwashers, and newly released ovens, induction cooktops, and microwaves this year.

The Bespoke AI Family Hub refrigerator will offer a new feature to apply 'generative backgrounds' through the Smart Forward update starting at the end of this month. Users can select their preferred options from seven themes such as nature, flowers, events, and food, and six art styles including watercolor, oil painting, and illustration, to generate customized images. These generated images can be applied to the refrigerator cover screen to change the kitchen atmosphere or sent to the whiteboard application to deliver special messages to family members.

The Bespoke AI Dishwasher will update the 'Lower Cup Washing Course' feature for 14- and 12-place setting dishwashers released since last year, starting from the 2nd of next month. This allows quick washing of lightly soiled cups or tumblers in the lower dish basket. The feature was developed in response to the recent trend of increasing personal tumbler use among consumers. By raising the upper dish basket, tumblers up to 27 cm in length can be easily washed. This saves 18 minutes compared to using the 'Standard Course.'

The 'Quick Remote' feature, which was expanded last month to some models of robot vacuum cleaners, dehumidifiers, air purifiers, and air conditioners, will be further expanded to the 2024 kitchen product lineup starting next month. Quick Remote automatically pops up on the smartphone when the connected home appliance and phone are in close proximity via SmartThings, allowing easy product control through the app. It can stop or turn off cooking appliances in operation. For refrigerators, it monitors the set temperature and notifies the user of the door open status.

Samsung Electronics plans to set up a space at 'IFA 2024,' Europe's largest home appliance exhibition held in Berlin, Germany, starting from the 6th of next month, where visitors can experience various features updated through Smart Forward, including the Bespoke AI Family Hub refrigerator.

Yoo Mi-young, Vice President of Samsung Electronics' Digital Appliances (DA) Business Division, said, "We will continue to expand services so that various consumers can enjoy the new features updated through Smart Forward."
