Ryu Kyung-gi, Jungnang-gu Mayor, Leads the Spread of Integrity Culture

Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi) held an Integrity Communication Day event on the 29th ahead of the Chuseok holiday, with the mayor personally participating.

The 'Integrity Communication Day' event is an ongoing integrity initiative promoted by the district to inform residents about efforts to prevent corruption in the public sector and to spread anti-corruption and integrity commitments. It has been held once a week during the last week of each month since March in the first-floor lobby of the district office.

At the event, an integrity campaign and an integrity consultation booth were operated. During the campaign, leaflets explaining the Anti-Graft Act, Conflict of Interest Prevention Act, and Public Finance Recovery Act were distributed to visitors, conveying the district’s integrity message. Following this, the integrity consultation booth provided an opportunity for employees and residents to ask questions related to integrity policies.

In particular, ahead of the Chuseok holiday, Mayor Ryu Gyeong-gi personally participated in the event to promote the prohibition of solicitation and acceptance of money or gifts, as well as the Public Official Misconduct Reporting Center, actively supporting the operation of 'Integrity Communication Day.' Through this, he reinforced the commitment to making Jungnang-gu more transparent and encouraged the spread of an integrity culture within the organization.

Ryu Gyeong-gi, Mayor of Jungnang-gu, stated, “To improve administrative satisfaction and resolve chronic civil complaints, it is necessary to enhance residents’ trust in the public sector,” adding, “We will continue to do our best to create Jungnang-gu as the top district in integrity, based on a culture of respect and consideration through communication and empathy with not only residents but also employees.”

The district is striving to spread a culture of integrity through various policy projects, including the formation and operation of the Integrity Jungnang Policy Promotion Team, integrity education with residents, integrity empathy quizzes for employees, Integrity Live education, and strengthening the operation of the public officials’ code of conduct.
