Ensuring Safe Driving on Chuseok Return Trips... Songpa-gu Offers Free Car Inspections Including 'Electric Vehicles'

Free operation every year to ensure safe travel for residents returning home

Songpa-gu (District Mayor Seo Gang-seok) announced that on September 1st, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., free inspections and maintenance consultations will be provided for returning holiday vehicles along the main road in front of Building 108 of the Olympic Athlete Press Village Apartments.

The free Chuseok inspection is organized by the Seoul Automobile Specialized Maintenance Business Association Songpa-gu Branch (Branch Chief Yoon Won-tae) and targets Songpa-gu residents' returning vehicles (passenger cars, small vans, SUVs, electric vehicles) expected to travel long distances. This service aims to prevent vehicle breakdowns and accidents caused by poor maintenance by providing safety inspection services.

This vehicle maintenance and inspection will include ▲ checking for engine abnormalities ▲ inspecting and replenishing various oils such as engine oil ▲ inspecting and replenishing vehicle bulbs, washer fluid, and coolant ▲ inspecting various belts and replacing wiper brushes, supporting residents for a safe journey home.

Parts that can be repaired on-site on the day will be serviced immediately free of charge, and vehicle maintenance consultations, including vehicle management methods, are also available for free.

Residents who wish to have their vehicles inspected can visit the site on the day without a separate application to receive free vehicle inspection and consultation services.

Since 2003, the district has conducted free vehicle inspections every year before Chuseok to ensure residents' safe travel home.
