On the 29th, the Joguk Innovation Party stated, "We will focus on discovering and accumulating factors that could trigger the impeachment of President Yoon Seok-yeol, the so-called 'smoking gun.'"
Chief Spokesperson Kim Bohyeop conveyed that during a lawmaker workshop held in Yeonggwang, Jeollanam-do, the party reached this consensus following a progress report from the party's 'Three Years Is Too Long Special Committee' (Impeachment Promotion Committee).
Kim said, "During the October National Assembly audit, the Innovation Party will not point out trivial or minor issues but will link all matters to the activities of the Impeachment Promotion Committee," adding, "Twelve lawmakers will each work within their respective standing committees to uncover factors that could trigger President Yoon's impeachment."
The Innovation Party plans to assign three to four lawmakers to support election campaigns in the by-elections for the Yeonggwang and Gokseong county governors in Jeollanam-do and the Geumjeong District mayor in Busan. Representative Joguk plans to rent a monthly residence in either Yeonggwang or Gokseong County, while lawmaker Shin Jangsik intends to rent in Gokseong County. However, a candidate for the by-election for the mayor of Ganghwa County, Incheon, is still being sought.
