Jinju City to Launch Second Half 'Youth Certification Exam Fee Support Project'

Applications Accepted from September 2... Up to 100,000 KRW per Person, Twice a Year

Jinju City in Gyeongnam Province announced that it will implement the 'Second Half Youth Certification Exam Fee Support Program' starting September 2.

The 'Youth Certification Exam Fee Support Program,' which has been in place in Jinju City since 2023, is a project that reimburses actual expenses for various exam fees required for employment, such as language proficiency tests, national technical certifications, and the Korean History Proficiency Test, which are highly valued in the job market. Each individual can receive support up to twice per year, with a maximum of 100,000 KRW.

Eligible applicants are unemployed youth aged 18 to 39 (born between 1984 and 2005) who reside in Jinju City from the date of the exam to the date of application. For the second half of the program, only those who took exams after June 1 are eligible to apply. However, those who have already received support twice or up to 100,000 KRW in the first half are excluded from this round.

Youth wishing to apply can do so on the Jinju City Youth Online Platform from September 2 to December 10 (the application may close early if the budget is exhausted). For more details, visit the Jinju City Hall website (Notices/Announcements) or contact the Job and Economy Division.

A city official stated, "We hope that the Youth Certification Exam Fee Support Program will help reduce the financial burden on young people preparing for employment and assist in developing their capabilities," adding, "We will continue to expand tailored policy support to help young people realize their dreams for the future."
