The 3rd Siwaho Turtle Island Marine Festival concluded successfully.

With the theme of 'Light and Water,' this festival, held from the 23rd to the 25th, received high praise for allowing visitors to fully experience the different charms of summer during the day and night. The festival, a representative summer event of Siheung City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Im Byung-taek), captivated visitors with various programs that deeply immersed them in the summer allure of Turtle Island.

In particular, this year's Turtle Island Marine Festival recorded an all-time high attendance with approximately 40,000 visitors during the event period at the Turtle Island Wave Park Plaza and the Siwaho area.

On the first day, the 23rd, the 'Summer Fashion Week,' where participants could make summer fashion items such as beach bags, sunglasses, straw hats, and necklaces and walk the runway, created special memories for family visitors and the MZ generation. On the 24th, active marine leisure experiences at Turtle Island Wave Park offered relaxation and thrills.

The Turtle Island Water Gun Battle held on the last day, the 25th, was very popular among family visitors. The large air bounce and the shaded rest zone for tourists also received positive responses from visitors.

Following this, a variety of sensory-pleasing programs such as an EDM party, Leo Magic Show, and laser show took place, culminating in Turtle Island's first-ever fireworks display, which brilliantly closed the Siwaho Turtle Island Marine Festival’s three-day journey.

Kim Jong-won, the general director overseeing the festival, said, "Focusing on the theme of light and water, providing citizens with the opportunity to directly experience the beauty of the Siwaho sunset and the distinct summer charm of Turtle Island during day and night was key." He added, "Despite the gathering of about 40,000 people at the venue, the festival was safely concluded thanks to the efforts of Siheung City and the mature safety awareness of the citizens. We will also do our best to prepare for the Gaetgol Festival to be held in September."
