"Second Half Release... Plans for Voice Conversations, Not Just Chatting"
BankSalad announced on the 28th that it will launch ‘Topping+’, an asset management service combining MyData and artificial intelligence (AI), in the second half of this year.
Kim Moon-kyu, Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of BankSalad, said at a press meeting held at Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) in Jung-gu, Seoul, “With the emergence of AI technology, it is time to present a new perspective on data utilization,” adding, “BankSalad aims to propose the ‘MyAI’ vision as a new discourse on data utilization.”
MyAI is explained as shifting the perspective of data utilization from the traditional supplier-centered approach to a user-centered one. Until now, users searched for the information they needed among what suppliers provided, but MyAI first suggests customized questions for each user and then provides answers accordingly.

Topping+ is the first asset management service launched under the MyAI vision by BankSalad. Users of Topping+ can utilize functions such as smart briefing and financial assistant through conversations. This refers to a feature that predicts and summarizes financial information that users might be interested in based on MyData analysis. AI also analyzes spending details or assists in investment decision-making. If users want more detailed analysis and advice, they can continue the conversation through additional questions.
For example, a user planning a summer vacation can create a travel itinerary on Topping+ that considers not only income and expenses but also usual travel patterns and food preferences. Since Topping+ understands the user’s average spending and income details, it may even provide answers like “It would be better not to take a vacation this time.”
CTO Kim said, “Using generative AI in finance can provide hyper-personalized information in areas such as users’ assets, spending, investments, and financial knowledge,” adding, “Topping+, the first service of MyAI, is being developed with the goal of launching within this year.” He also added, “In the near future, we expect to support voice-based conversations instead of just chat.”
BankSalad stated that through MyAI-related services including Topping+, it can address financial blind spots. At the event, Choi Seol-koo, Project Manager (PM) of Topping+, explained, “The core value of this service is to proactively provide external changes tailored to each user’s situation,” adding, “Financially vulnerable groups find it difficult to recognize changes in systems, interest rates, and benefits, but this service can approach and offer much help to these groups.” CTO Kim added, “Furthermore, improving accessibility by providing voice-based services in the future is a challenge that BankSalad must tackle.”
