Such excellent transportation infrastructure often attracts the interest of large corporations. Around Dongtan New Town, large-scale industrial complexes have already been formed, including Hwaseong Samsung Semiconductor, Techno Valley covering 470,000 pyeong, and a general industrial complex of 600,000 pyeong. Nearby areas such as Osan Gajang Industrial Complex, LG Pyeongtaek Industrial Complex, and Yongin Samsung Semiconductor have established industrial clusters with large companies. As a result, in 2016, the global consulting firm McKinsey selected Dongtan as the 4th wealthiest city among the top 7 richest cities worldwide by 2025.


Given this situation, interest is also gathering among high-income earners in block-type detached house lots within Dongtan 2 New Town. Currently, Glen Hills 56, first sold in 2017, is being reported in actual transactions at more than 2.5 times the initial lot sale price. Local real estate industry sources say that despite the real estate downturn caused by high interest rates, block-type detached houses in Dongtan 2 New Town remained popular.


KD Construction Co., Ltd. is currently selling ‘Pentville County Dongtan,’ a block-type detached house lot located in BD3 Block within the new residential culture town of Dongtan 2 New Town.


Pentville County Dongtan is located in Sanggyeong Village at the entrance of the new residential culture town, the last area to be developed in Dongtan 2 New Town. It is adjacent to the 2nd Outer Ring Expressway, making travel to Seoul and the metropolitan area convenient. Within a 3 km radius, Dongtan Station for GTX-A and SRT, which allows travel between Suseo and Dongtan in about 20 minutes, is located. The nearby tram station, Shindong Station (tentative name), is within walking distance, and the opening of Namsa Tunnel, which enables access to Yongin Wonsam SK Hynix and Yongin Namsa Samsung Semiconductor Cluster, is also planned.


A local real estate official said, “Once the Yongin semiconductor business is fully operational and Namsa Tunnel opens, the biggest beneficiary will be the Dongtan new residential culture town within a 4 km radius,” adding, “The value of the scarce block-type detached house lots will continue to rise significantly.”


The natural environment around Pentville County Dongtan is also excellent. To the north of the complex is Sangnok Country Club, and to the south are Sinri Stream and Dongtan’s largest neighborhood park, boasting lush greenery.


As for the complex’s specialized design, it features a gated and security system focused on safety. In addition, advanced CCTV minimizing blind spots will be installed, and the recorded footage will be supported for real-time monitoring via smartphones, according to a sales representative.


The community facilities for only 82 households within the complex include screen golf, a fitness center, GX room, and meeting room. Furthermore, various spaces such as a large garden, terrace, barbecue party area, and swimming pool are arranged to allow residents to enjoy a leisurely rural lifestyle within the city. Various services such as barbecue party preparation reservation, lawn mowing, and pet care walking will also be provided.


The educational infrastructure is well established. An elementary school and kindergarten are planned right in front of the complex, enabling safe walking commutes. Middle and high schools are also located within a 1 km radius, providing a one-stop walking school zone within 3 minutes. Large sports and cultural facilities and a community center are under construction within a 3-minute walk, and as it is located within the new town, commercial facilities and transportation infrastructure are already well established.


There are also positive developments related to medical facilities. Currently, the medical facility site in Dongtan 2 New Town is planned to begin construction in 2026 and be completed by 2029, with an investment of 2 trillion won. It will include medical healthcare, commercial facilities, and cultural and residential facilities. Pentville County, currently on sale, is about 1 km in a straight line from this site, allowing residents to enjoy high-quality medical services nearby.
