iM Securities (formerly Hi Investment & Securities) announced on the 27th that it has carried out social contribution activities to support local environmental improvement.
This activity was planned to practice ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) management shared together in celebration of the official launch of iM Securities, supporting the creation project of the Flower Garden located in Mullae-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul.
On the previous day, iM Securities delivered a fund of 10 million KRW to the Korea Forest for Life Foundation, attended by Ryu Si-woong, Head of the Management Strategy Division, Choi Seung-hee, Secretary General of the Korea Forest for Life Foundation, and other related personnel.
The fund to be used for the creation of the Flower Garden was prepared with the hopes and wishes of iM Securities employees. On the 6th, coinciding with the official launch of iM Securities, 407 employees attached hope postcards to a tree installed in the company’s main office caf? lounge, and the company raised funds by accumulating 25,000 KRW per postcard.
The delivered fund will be used to plant grass, trees, and flowers in the Mullae-dong Flower Garden, transforming surplus urban spaces into green areas to be cultivated as places for citizens’ rest and community gardens. The Mullae-dong Flower Garden is a public site that had been neglected for over 20 years and was converted into a garden, opening in May.
Head Ryu Si-woong stated, “We supported the creation of a resident-friendly garden project with the heartfelt intention of iM Securities employees to get closer to customers and contribute to a better future,” adding, “We will continue to carry out various activities to create better value and a shared future, which is the company’s vision.”
