The Department of Nuclear Medicine will provide personalized precision treatment for cancer and other tumor diseases through PET-CT (Positron Emission Tomography-Computed Tomography) and gamma camera examinations.

Additionally, nuclear medicine examinations play a crucial role in targeted therapy for cancer patients.

Centum General Hospital is now fully operating the latest nuclear medicine imaging equipment, including the 'gamma camera' and 'PET-CT'.

The gamma camera is a device that uses radioactive isotopes to diagnose changes in bone metabolism such as bone metastasis of cancer, severity of arthritis, and bone infections, and can also perform various nuclear medicine examinations such as thyroid and kidney scans.

The gamma camera introduced by Centum General Hospital provides three-dimensional imaging of human tissues and can simultaneously detect both morphological and functional abnormalities in the scanned area. It offers important data for accurate diagnosis and treatment, including early detection and monitoring of heart disease, stroke, and various cancers.

Furthermore, the PET-CT can detect cancers as small as 2mm, enabling whole-body cancer diagnosis, confirmation of metastasis, determination of cancer stage, and checking for recurrence after cancer treatment.

Park Jongho, Chairman of Centum Medical Foundation, stated, "With the opening of the Department of Nuclear Medicine, we have established a specialized system and further strengthened our capacity to treat serious diseases. We will do our utmost to ensure that patients can focus on their treatment with peace of mind."
