According to the legal community on the 26th, Judge Kang Kyung-mook of the Criminal Division 8 at the Seoul Central District Court issued a summary order on the 23rd to Lee, who was summarily indicted for defamation under the Information and Communications Network Act, imposing a fine of 500,000 won. A summary order is a procedure that imposes fines or penalties based on written review only for relatively minor offenses.

Lee is accused of defaming by revealing the photo, name, date of birth, occupation, birthplace, height, blood type, physical characteristics, and criminal record of perpetrator A in the Busan Dolleochagi incident on his YouTube channel in June of last year.

On the morning of May 22, 2022, A indiscriminately assaulted victim Kim at the shared entrance of an officetel in Seomyeon, Busanjin-gu, whom he had no prior acquaintance with. He was initially indicted for attempted murder and sentenced to 12 years in prison in the first trial, but the sentence was increased to 20 years in the appellate trial after being charged with attempted rape-murder, which was confirmed by the Supreme Court.

Meanwhile, Lee was arrested and indicted on the 14th for aiding and abetting extortion crimes committed by YouTuber Gujeyeok (real name Lee Jun-hee) and others, who extorted tens of millions of won by threatening YouTuber Jjuyang (real name Park Jung-won). It was revealed that in February of last year, Lee encouraged Gujeyeok’s extortion by suggesting that “it is more profitable to directly extort money rather than uploading expos? videos about Jjuyang.” Additionally, he is also accused of extorting 30 million won from another internet broadcaster.
