The Jeonnam Office of Education's Youth Reporters, who delivered vivid news from sports events such as the National Sports Festival and the National Youth Sports Festival, have successfully concluded their activities.

The closing ceremony was held with the participation of about 50 people, including students of the Jeonnam Office of Education Youth Reporters and their supervising teachers. The event featured a career special lecture by Mokpo MBC announcer Choi Da-hoon and a sharing session on the achievements of their 1 year and 6 months of activities.
The Jeonnam Office of Education Youth Reporters was launched in February last year, composed of about 70 students from various schools.
They have actively continued their activities by directly experiencing a series of processes such as on-site reporting and media coverage linked to career education for students aspiring to become journalists. Over the course of 1 year and 6 months, they produced ▲147 blog articles ▲31 media reports ▲29 YouTube videos ▲7 live news broadcasts.
In particular, at the sites of the 104th National Sports Festival held across Jeonnam in October last year and the 53rd National Youth Sports Festival held in May this year, they received great responses by conducting real-time coverage of athlete interviews and game results. During this period, the youth reporters collaborated with the Mokpo Jungang High School broadcasting club to produce live news broadcasts reporting on the sports festival, gaining vivid broadcasting experience.
Park Jae-hyun, Director of the Physical Education and Health Division, said, “I hope that what the youth reporters have learned while working on-site over the past year and a half will serve as a solid foundation for realizing their dreams,” and added, “We will continue to actively support career education activities that encourage students' dreams.”
