Jeonnam Province Urges Interest and Participation in Hometown Development

The 5th and 6th president inauguration and retirement ceremony of the Daejeon Sejong Honam Hometown Association Federation was held on the 23rd at the Yuseong Convention Wedding Hall in Daejeon.

At the event, the 5th president Park Jeong-gi retired, and the 6th president Jeong Gyeong-su, who will newly foster the pride and harmony of Honam people, was inaugurated.

The event was attended by Choi Soon-mo, president of the National Honam Hometown Association Federation, Daejeon district lawmakers Jang Jong-tae, Park Beom-gye, Jo Seung-rae, Hwang Jeong-a, and about 500 hometown association members.

Jeonnam Province explained its provincial administration, including hometown love practices such as the Jeonnam Sarangae (Love) Supporters, and drew sympathy from hometown members by urging interest and participation in hometown development.

In his greeting, newly appointed president Jeong Gyeong-su said, “We will unite the will of 600,000 hometown members to become a more proud Daejeon Sejong Honam Hometown Association Federation,” and “We will take the lead in promoting and recruiting Jeonnam Sarangae Supporters and devote ourselves to local community and hometown development.”

Jeonnam Province is enthusiastically promoting ‘Jeonnam Sarangae Supporters Recruitment Season 2’ with a focus on expanding supporter membership benefits and qualitative growth of services, such as expanding discount-affiliated stores for Jeonnam Love Citizen Cards and diversifying information provision platforms.
