Event Highlights City's Identity with Numerous Venues... Fans Invited to Backstage of Major Theaters
Collaboration with Korea Sports Promotion Foundation... Season 1 Drew K-Pop Fans Nationwide with Great Response
Participants Accepted Until September 1... Opportunity to Explore KSPO Dome, Olympic Hall, and More
Songpa-gu (Mayor Seo Gang-seok) is once again hosting a special fan invitation event that highlights its identity as the center of K-pop culture.
As part of the social media (SNS) planned content project "Songpa, the Capital of K-pop," the district has been collaborating with the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation since last year to conduct the "Olympic Park K-pop Legacy Tour." This was made possible when a passionate BTS fan and public official expressed a sincere wish to visit the concert venue waiting rooms, and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation responded positively.
The tour explores key K-pop legacies within Olympic Park, including the KSPO DOME and the Olympic Hall waiting rooms. The first season of the tour held last year received great enthusiasm. Twenty-two K-pop fans with special stories gathered from across the country, including a mother and daughter duo who are fans of IU and Lim Young-woong respectively, and fans who applied to reminisce about their disbanded favorite groups.
The second season tour will take place on September 9 at 3 PM, with the concept of a "K-pop VIP Tour." The program has been upgraded to provide a comprehensive experience of K-pop’s history and present.
In addition to exploring the internal facilities of the concert venues, participants will visit the KOCCA (Korea Creative Content Agency) Music Studio, an immersive K-pop performance hall within the park. They will be able to observe the production process of online performance content utilizing various immersive technologies.
Moreover, there will be a photo wall in the concert waiting rooms where fans can cherish special memories with their favorite idols, as well as special souvenirs commemorating "Songpa, the Capital of K-pop."
This event, specially prepared by Songpa-gu, which is truly passionate about K-pop, is open to 20 fans. Detailed information including eligibility can be found on the SNS channels of Songpa-gu Office and the Korea Sports Promotion Foundation, and applications can be submitted online until September 1.
Seo Gang-seok, Mayor of Songpa-gu, said, "I hope this special event, where public institutions and citizens come together through their love for K-pop, will create precious memories and happiness. Songpa-gu, the capital of K-pop, where fans come with anticipation and excitement, will always support your 'deokjil' (fan activities)."
