Emphasizing the Need for Customized Policies... Commitment to Cooperation

Shin Jeong-hoon, Chairman of the National Assembly's Public Administration and Security Committee (Democratic Party, Naju·Hwasun), held a policy meeting with the Jeonnam Mayors and County Governors Association (Chairman Kim Seong, County Governor) at the conference room of Gangjin Dasan Beachae C.C.
This meeting was organized to discuss the resolution of local issues and policy proposals from local government heads.
During the meeting, various issues faced by local governments were discussed, with particular emphasis on 19 key agenda items including ▲guaranteeing civil servants' rights protection ▲proposals to expand special measures for population-declining areas ▲raising the local allocation tax rate ▲adjusting the general allocation tax considering local financial conditions.
The attendees emphasized the need for customized policies reflecting the characteristics of each region and pledged continuous cooperation and communication with the Public Administration and Security Committee.
Chairman Shin Jeong-hoon stated, "We deeply understand the difficulties and challenges faced by local governments and will do our best at the National Assembly level to resolve them," promising active support for the development of local autonomy.
Kim Seong, Chairman of the Jeonnam Mayors and County Governors Association and County Governor of Jangheung, said, "This meeting became an important opportunity to convey the voices of local areas to the central government," adding, "We look forward to various policy supports for regional development in the future."
