Park Gang-su, Mayor of Mapo District, visited the Mapo Pet Camping Site on the morning of the 23rd to encourage families with dogs who will be participating as the ‘Pet Camping Site Promotion Team.’
The pet camping site is a pet-friendly facility established by Mapo District in Nanji Hangang Park, offering a space differentiated from existing pet playgrounds. The camping site includes separate areas for small and large dogs to play safely, as well as camping decks, drinking fountains, and animal shower facilities.
To ensure smooth operation of the camping site, which is scheduled to officially open in early September, Mapo District proactively recruited promotion teams from each neighborhood to experience the camping site by August 22.
The promotion teams will use the camping site during designated sessions among the 20 sessions held from August 23 to September 1.
On the morning of the day, families with dogs from Yeomni-dong participating as promotion team members enjoyed leisure time running and playing with their dogs at the camping site overlooking the Han River. In particular, they spent precious time cooling off from the summer heat at the ‘Cool Dog Water Play’ event, a summer camping site event.
