Plan to Verify Fat Reduction Efficacy of Goheung Yuja Extract, Joint Research Initiated
Gohung-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gong Young-min) announced that it signed a business agreement with Care & Care Co., Ltd. on the 22nd to develop functional products using yuzu.
At the signing ceremony, Park Jung-woon, Director of the Agricultural Technology Center, Yoon Seung-yong, CEO of Care & Care Co., Ltd., and Jung Yeon-beom of Neo Games attended and agreed to mutually cooperate in developing functional yuzu products in Gohung-gun.
Although the efficacy of orange and citrus-derived extracts in reducing body fat has been sufficiently verified, standardized functional research on domestic yuzu will be verified through this project.
Care & Care Co., Ltd. plans to extract functional substances that reduce body fat from yuzu peels and develop functional yuzu products, while the Agricultural Technology Center will provide samples necessary for developing functional yuzu products and cooperate in product standardization through joint research.
Director Park Jung-woon said, "Through this agreement, we expect to promote the excellent efficacy of Gohung yuzu worldwide and greatly contribute to increasing the income of yuzu farmers."
