Suncheonman National Garden in Suncheon City, Jeollanam-do, announced that it will increase the operation of the Garden Dream Boat, a representative experience facility of Suncheonman, to welcome the autumn season.
Dongcheon, which runs through the national garden, has a historical background as a waterway where boats passed during the early Goryeo period. Inspired by this, Suncheon City restored the waterway during the 2023 Suncheonman International Garden Expo and started operating the Garden Dream Boat as a project connecting the downtown area.

Now in its second year, the Garden Dream Boat introduced a water parade featuring eight boats as its main content at the opening in April, providing visitors with a unique spectacle.
The water parade departs three times daily (4:00 PM, 5:50 PM, and 7:00 PM) from the Lake Garden dock within the national garden every day except Mondays until October.
Visitors wishing to board can purchase tickets on-site at the ticket booth near the dock.
The Garden Dream Boat water parade can be enjoyed from three viewing points even without boarding.
At Nakwoosong-gil in the national garden, where lights turn on around sunset, visitors can enjoy the night view of Suncheon Lake Garden harmonized with the parade. At the Space Bridge central fountain, visitors can look down on Dongcheon and feel the thrill of the parade passing beneath their feet.
While strolling along Dongcheon, visitors may also be lucky enough to encounter the colorful parade blending with the surrounding nightscape and city lights.
To welcome autumn and in response to strong visitor demand, the city plans to increase the parade from twice to three times a day and raise the number of Dream Boat operations to 43 times, allowing more visitors to see, enjoy, and experience the Dream Boat.
One tourist expressed satisfaction, saying, “It feels like a unique experience has been created at the national garden, and riding the Dream Boat to see the garden and Dongcheon was a beautiful and regret-free choice.”
A city official stated, “Since April, the Garden Dream Boat water parade has received great interest from visitors and citizens, so we decided to increase operations for autumn. We will continue to strive to make the Garden Dream Boat a representative experience facility of Suncheonman National Garden, providing visitors and citizens with unique sights and enjoyable experiences.”
