Choo was also scheduled to attend a meeting hosted by Rep. Na Kyung-won aimed at raising public interest and discussing National Assembly support measures for the early establishment of the Syngman Rhee Presidential Memorial Hall, but he did not participate.

A representative from the floor leader's office stated, "(Choo Kyung-ho) received a positive test result around 10 a.m." and added, "All scheduled events have been canceled until this Sunday, including the high-level party-government meeting planned for Sunday, which he will also miss." Choo's schedule for next week will be decided after monitoring his condition through Sunday.

Lee Jae-myung, the leader of the Democratic Party of Korea, who was scheduled to meet with Han Dong-hoon, the leader of the People Power Party, on the 25th, also tested positive for COVID-19 and is currently hospitalized for treatment. Due to Lee's diagnosis, the meeting between the two party leaders has been postponed.
