HDC Hyundai Development Company Creates Symphony Classroom Forest at Taereung Elementary School with Good Neighbors HDC Hyundai Development Company announced on the 23rd that it held an opening ceremony for the Symphony Classroom Forest, an eco-friendly space for children and adolescents, at Seoul Taereung Elementary School in collaboration with Good Neighbors.

HDC Hyundai Development Company held an opening ceremony for the Symphony Classroom Forest at Taereung Elementary School the day before. The ceremony was attended by Jeong Yong-hoon, principal of Taereung Elementary School, Hong Seon-gyo, head of Good Neighbors Seoul Regional Headquarters, Shin Wang-seop, director of HDC Hyundai Development Company, and 10 child forest guardians from Taereung Elementary School.

In late April, the two organizations signed a business agreement to create Symphony Classroom Forests at two locations: Taereung Elementary School and Seongrowon in Dongjak-gu. They plan to operate a child forest guardian group to help maintain the spaces and have HDC Hyundai Development Company employees serve as daily environmental instructors for children's environmental education. Both parties agreed to steadily expand the Symphony Classroom Forests every year.

As their first official activity, in June, HDC Hyundai Development Company employees visited Seoul Seongrowon in Dongjak-gu, Seoul, to conduct eco-friendly educational volunteer work. On the 7th, they completed the first Symphony Classroom Forest space at Seoul Seongrowon, actively incorporating ideas from the child forest guardian group.

An HDC Hyundai Development Company representative said, “We hope that children will grow up healthily in harmony with nature in the eco-friendly Symphony Classroom Forest. We plan to continue promoting sustainable and continuous social contribution activities like the Symphony Classroom Forest and pursue various initiatives that can benefit the local community in the future.”
