One-person Protest vs. One-person Protest ... Former and Current Changwon Mayors and Deputy Mayors Urged to Be Prosecuted

While the Democratic Party council members of Changwon, Gyeongnam are holding a relay solo protest urging the prosecution to swiftly investigate Hong Nam-pyo, Mayor of Changwon, and Cho Myung-rae, the Second Deputy Mayor of Changwon, for alleged violations of the Political Funds Act, a protester has appeared calling for the arrest and indictment of Heo Sung-moo, the current National Assembly member and former mayor of Changwon.


On the morning of the 22nd, in front of the Changwon District Prosecutors' Office, Jeon Hong-pyo, a Democratic Party city council member, took part in a solo protest following Park Hae-jung, another city council member, the previous day.

Next to them, Bae Seung-ryong, co-representative of the Barun Gachi Silcheon Undong Bonbu, stood holding a sign claiming that Representative Heo, the former mayor, was involved in spreading false information related to S-BRT and was suspected of corruption regarding private special projects.


Afterwards, Gyeong Cheol-su, president of the Nara Sarang Yeonhaphoe, also held a solo protest with a sign urging the city council member protesting to devote more effort to legislative activities.


Previously, the Democratic Party city council members announced that they would continue their solo protests in front of the Changwon District Prosecutors' Office in a relay format for a month. Barun Gachi Silcheon Undong Bonbu and others also plan to continue their solo protests in response.
