At around 7:39 PM on the 22nd, a fire broke out at a hotel in Jung-dong, Bucheon-si, Gyeonggi-do, prompting the fire department to issue a Level 2 response.
The fire authorities issued a 'Level 2 response' at 7:57 PM, mobilizing personnel and equipment from 5 to 6 nearby fire stations to rescue guests. So far, 2 people have been found in cardiac arrest, and 5 others are reported injured.
Lee Sang-min, Minister of the Ministry of the Interior and Safety, urgently instructed, "The fire department and local governments should mobilize all available personnel and equipment to fully focus on fire suppression and rescue operations, and pay special attention to the safety of rescue workers."
