Laftel, the nation's number one animation OTT platform, announced that it opened the 'Tiger Is Coming: Find the Tiger and Go!' pop-up store in Hongdae on the 22nd to celebrate the launch of the animation 'Tiger Is Coming,' attracting many visitors from the very first day.
'Tiger Is Coming' (Naver Webtoon authors Bae Sehyuk/Yoo Eun) is an animation based on the popular Naver Webtoon in the virtual historical fantasy genre. The story begins when two children resembling tigers visit a young couple living in a forest during the Joseon Dynasty, ranking high in webtoon popularity and beloved by many readers.
Laftel, which has been building a diverse animation lineup by producing popular webtoons into animations, premiered the animated version of 'Tiger Is Coming' on July 25 through Laftel, receiving a warm response upon launch.
The 'Tiger Is Coming: Find the Tiger and Go!' pop-up store, which opened today in Hongdae, is designed with a traditional hanok concept that perfectly authenticates the Joseon Dynasty setting of the original work. Visitors can experience finding Hoya and Ranga from the animation through various missions conducted in a stamp rally format, resulting in highly satisfying reactions after the experience.
In particular, the fun element of stamping the mission sheet with characters from the animation each time a mission is successfully completed greatly increased satisfaction. Additionally, visitors who collect all six stamps by completing all missions receive a special 'Shaker Keyring,' and 'Ddiboo Stickers' are randomly given according to the number of missions completed. A photo printer is also installed throughout the pop-up store, allowing visitors to instantly print photos taken on-site to cherish their memories. Customers who print photos with the photo printer receive a 'Bokjumeoni' (lucky pouch) as a gift.
The goods shop inside the pop-up store offers various character merchandise, and customers who purchase over 50,000 won receive a 'Signature Four-Cut Keyring.' Both merchandise buyers and mission completers are given a 'Character Shopping Bag.'
A Laftel representative said, "We planned the pop-up store with a traditional hanok concept to commemorate the launch of the 'Tiger Is Coming' animation, and there was high anticipation from original webtoon fans even before the opening. From the first day, the pop-up store has seen enthusiastic visits and a high participation rate in the missions. Since both original fans and visitors who participated in the stamp rally have shown high satisfaction, we ask for many visits during the pop-up store period."
The 'Tiger Is Coming: Find the Tiger and Go!' pop-up store is held at the hanok cafe 'ium 1966' and operates daily from 12 PM to 7 PM from Thursday, August 22 to Saturday, August 31.
