Four casualties occurred when Koreans, including ski athletes, were involved in a traffic accident in New Zealand.
On the 22nd, Yonhap News quoted local New Zealand media reporting, "On the 21st (local time), four Koreans, including ski athletes, were involved in a traffic accident in the Aoraki region."
Three of the passengers in the vehicle died, and the driver is reported to be in critical condition. The cause of the accident and the identities of the deceased have not yet been confirmed. A representative from the Aoraki region stated, "The vehicle they were in was driving in the opposite direction on the road at the time of the accident."
They were reportedly visiting New Zealand to participate in a ski competition held in Queenstown. The local consulate is verifying detailed information about the accident and is providing necessary consular assistance to the victims' families.
