Honorary Chairman Cho Yang-rae Inspects Hankook Tire Geumsan Plant

Jo Yang-rae, Honorary Chairman of Hankook & Company Group, visited the Hankook Tire & Technology Geumsan Plant in Geumsan, Chungnam.

On the 22nd, Hankook & Company announced that Honorary Chairman Jo inspected the Geumsan plant the previous day and urged the members to secure the best quality competitiveness.

On that day, Honorary Chairman Jo personally checked the Ultra High Performance Tire (UHP) production and the automated loading system (MBR) lines within the Geumsan plant and encouraged the employees working in the heatwave.

Honorary Chairman Jo said, "Beyond superiority, we must now present overwhelming sales volume and quality on a different level to the market," adding, "To achieve this, please thoroughly inspect all facilities in the plant and rigorously manage quality from the early stages of production."

Meanwhile, the Hankook Tire Geumsan Plant is the second domestic production base following the Daejeon plant. It was completed in 1997 with an area of approximately 900,000 square meters.

A Hankook & Company official explained, "The Geumsan plant plays a key role as a global forward base responsible for producing tires with cutting-edge technology, contributing significantly to securing an annual production capacity of over 100 million tires alongside global production bases in the United States, China, Hungary, and Indonesia."
