Asia Economy will hold the '2024 Global Wine & Food Trip' at Sebitseom Floating Island in Seocho-gu, Seoul, for two days starting from the 23rd. Marking its third year, the Global Wine & Food Trip will feature major domestic wine importers and food companies, providing an opportunity to taste various regional wines and enjoy food pairings.
Achimaru Winery will showcase Amarooum's 'White Wine Temptation,' 'White Wine Cheonghyang Dry,' 'White Wine Cheonghyang Sweet,' 'Red Wine Campbell Dry,' 'Red Wine Campbell Sweet,' and 'White Wine Soul-Soaking Liquor' at this event. Amarooum is made from high-sugar fruits grown in the large temperature difference valleys of Unaksan, resulting in rich fruit aromas. It is also characterized by soft acidity and refreshing taste.
Among these, White Wine Temptation is an apple wine with a harmonious blend of rich apple aroma, acidity, and sweetness.
White Wine Cheonghyang Dry is a green grape wine made by harvesting ripe grapes from the vine and fermenting them at low temperatures. It features rich fruit aromas and moderate acidity. Its soft and refreshing finish is delightful and pairs well with fish dishes.
White Wine Cheonghyang Sweet is a green grape sweet wine made by harvesting ripe fruit from the vine and fermenting at low temperatures. It is light, refreshing, and has a good balance of sweetness and acidity, making it an excellent choice for events or desserts.
Red Wine Campbell Dry is a red wine made from the sweet and sour Campbell Early grape variety. It has rich fruit aromas, balanced taste, and appropriate body, pairing well with pork belly, boiled pork slices, and other dishes.
Red Wine Campbell Sweet is also made from the Campbell Early variety, featuring rich fruit aromas and a good balance of acidity and sweetness. Its soft tannins make it popular as a daily wine. It pairs well with boiled pork slices and jokbal (pig's trotters).
White Wine Soul-Soaking Liquor is made from native Korean kiwi fruit produced in Gapyeong. It is attractive with its refreshing and sweet flavors that fill the mouth. With appropriate acidity and tannins, it pairs well with Korean cuisine.
