"Please Stop Posting on SNS" Plea from Valley Restaurant... Revealed to Be Hiding 'Illegal Operations'

Jincheon County Office Catches Illegal Business at Valley Restaurant

A famous valley restaurant that had requested not to be promoted on social networking services (SNS) was found to be operating illegally and has been referred to the prosecution.

Recently, multiple online communities posted about a restaurant with a banner that read, "Please do not upload photos on SNS." The author revealed a photo of the banner displayed at a restaurant in Jincheon, Chungbuk, stating, "There is a place with this phrase posted at a restaurant in Jincheon, Chungbuk." This restaurant sets tables and chairs in the valley and sells dishes such as baeksuk (boiled chicken) and samgyeopsal (pork belly).

The author also shared photos showing customers dining with their feet dipped in the valley water at blue plastic tables installed in the valley. The author commented, "In this day and age, asking not to promote must mean it is so popular that no promotion is needed," and added, "So I inquired with the local county office about how delicious it is."

In response, the Jincheon County Office stated on the 1st of this month, "Upon inspection, the establishment was found to be operating using areas (tables and chairs installed in the valley) beyond the reported business area, and since the business area was changed without filing a change report, administrative action is underway for violation of Article 37 of the Food Sanitation Act." They continued, "Regarding this act, an order to restore the original state was issued under Article 17 of the Small River Maintenance Act, with a deadline of July 29," and added, "If not complied with, prosecution will be pursued according to relevant regulations."

However, it was found that the restaurant continued to operate afterward. A receipt review on a portal site showed a visit to the restaurant, with the most recent review dated the 15th, which is past the deadline for compliance with the restoration order set by the county office.

Currently, the county office has reported the restaurant to the prosecution for violating the Small River Maintenance Act by failing to comply with the restoration order. Additionally, the restaurant is expected to face business suspension for violating the Food Sanitation Act by operating in areas outside the reported location.
