Recognized for Active Fiscal Spending to Revitalize Local Economy
District Mayor Oh Eon-seok: "Will Do Our Best to Execute Budget for Public Welfare Stability in the Second Half of This Year"
Dobong-gu (Mayor Oh Eon-seok) received a commendation from the Minister of the Interior and Safety in recognition of its active cooperation in promoting and managing local fiscal execution in the second half of 2023.
Last year, the district swiftly injected funds to respond to the possibility of a sharp economic downturn and to revitalize the private sector.
As a result, out of the fiscal execution target amount of 1.0055 trillion KRW, 866.7 billion KRW was executed, achieving an execution rate of 86.19%, exceeding the Ministry of the Interior and Safety's target of 84.7%.
Due to this achievement, the district was selected as an 'Excellent' institution in the local fiscal evaluation last March, and this time achieved the great feat of receiving a commendation from the Minister of the Interior and Safety. Following the previous 'Excellent' institution selection, the district received a special grant of 65 million KRW.
Oh Eon-seok, Mayor of Dobong-gu, said, "This commendation is a valuable achievement that all Dobong-gu employees accomplished with one heart for revitalizing the local economy and efficiently executing the budget," and added, "In the second half of this year, we will systematically manage the budget and execute it promptly to stabilize people’s livelihoods."
