The bereaved family of a patient who died at a hospital operated by psychiatrist Yang Jae-woong has revealed the deceased's personal information and appealed to clear the injustice.

Recently, a video titled "The OO Hospital that Killed a Person! Poor Safe Zone OOO Director" was posted on the YouTube channel 'Safe Zone TV'. This video was uploaded by the family of a woman in her 30s, Ms. A, who died 17 days after being admitted to a psychiatric hospital in Bucheon, Gyeonggi Province last May. The video included the deceased's name and images from her lifetime.

The family stated, "Our daughter was a young and healthy 32-year-old woman who was the joy and hope of our family. However, she was admitted to the hospital to treat diet pill addiction, but suddenly died from drug-induced intestinal obstruction just two weeks after admission." They added, "We are experiencing unimaginable grief and injustice."

The family continued, "Before admission, our daughter was very active and physically very healthy. She was a graduate student at a prestigious university, dedicated to her studies, but suffering from diet pill addiction due to a momentary wrong decision. She sought to live with a clear mind and requested help from the OO hospital in Bucheon, which she learned about through a broadcast, to overcome this." They expressed their grievance, saying, "However, the hospital failed to properly assess our daughter's condition and lost her due to solitary confinement in a single room and inappropriate medication prescription and management."

They added, "The hospital has not provided clear answers to our questions and is avoiding responsibility. Thinking about the pain and fear our daughter must have endured breaks and tears our hearts."

In particular, the family appealed for the truth about their daughter's death to be uncovered. They emphasized, "Please thoroughly investigate the medical malpractice caused by the hospital's inappropriate medication prescription and management, and strictly punish the medical staff and hospital officials responsible for our daughter's death."

Earlier, on May 27, Ms. A died at a psychiatric hospital in Bucheon operated by Yang Jae-woong. She was admitted to the hospital for treatment of diet pill addiction containing narcotic substances but died 17 days after admission. The cause of death was presumed to be pseudo-intestinal obstruction. Last month, the family filed a complaint with the police against six medical staff members on charges of neglect resulting in death and professional negligence causing death.

Yang Jae-woong, through his agency Mystic Story, stated, "The medical staff and I cannot hide our devastated feelings, and we sincerely apologize to the bereaved family who have lost their loved one and are in grief." He added, "Not only myself as the hospital director but all medical staff will fully cooperate with the ongoing investigation and sincerely participate, and we will take responsibility according to the medical and legal judgments that follow."
