Hanssem Initiates Corporate Culture Reestablishment... Announces 9 Working Principles 'Hanssem-Daum'

Hanssem has embarked on redefining its corporate culture to establish an unwavering focal point amid the new management environment.


On the 19th, Hanssem announced its new mission and working principles called ‘Hanssemdaum.’ The purpose is to lay the foundation for a leap forward and sustainable growth through the reestablishment of corporate culture. Through this, Hanssem plans to inherit its over 50-year history and establish a steady focal point in the new management environment.

Hanssem reinterpreted the business and mission it has carried on to align with the changing times and reflected them in the new mission and principles. By sharing these with all members, the goal is not only to provide overwhelmingly high-quality services and products but also to add value to customers’ lives.


Hanssem’s new mission is “To create standards for spaces for a better life, adding value to everyone’s daily life.” It means sincerely contemplating, researching, and proposing ways to make spaces that reflect people’s values, tastes, and lifestyles better places.


Additionally, just as Hanssem introduced and popularized the standing kitchen for the first time in the past 54 years?transforming the traditional stove-type kitchen, where people cooked bent over, into a central living space?and set standards for quality, construction, and service across the furniture and interior industries, it expresses confidence in leading the market and industry so that everyone’s daily life can be more valuable.


The working principles are organized into nine in total. They include compliance with social standards such as laws and ethics, aiming for flexible and efficient decision-making methods, and maximizing employees’ work capabilities and expertise.

The ‘Hanssemdaum Project’ is especially meaningful because employees directly participated and created it themselves. In March, Hanssem launched the second term of the employee consultative body ‘Change Agent’ to promote a healthy and mature corporate culture and carried out the ‘Hanssemdaum Project’ to establish the new mission and working principles. Employees actively participated in providing opinions and discussions during the project.


Hanssem plans to focus more on strengthening internal capabilities through the reestablishment of corporate culture with the proclamation of ‘Hanssemdaum.’ By enhancing the value for employees, who can be considered ‘internal customers,’ it aims to build a foundation to provide better services and products to external customers. It will strengthen internal cohesion and lay the groundwork for continuous growth and a new leap forward.


Jung Kwanghyun, Head of Corporate Culture at Hanssem, said, “We wanted to capture the essence of what Hanssem does and the dreams and values we will continuously pursue in the present language.” He added, “The strength and spirit of challenge embedded in the newly defined mission and working principles will be the driving force for future growth.”
